Lead UX/UI Designer for NBCUniversal
Entertainment's Mono-Culture Remix

Letting viewers play director by choosing content through mood.
From endless choice to emotional intent
At NBCUniversal, I explored how to move beyond generic browsing toward something more meaningful. The driving question: How could we empower users to play director and find content that matches the emotional tone they’re seeking?
Designing mood as the interface
I created a tvOS prototype where users adjusted a “moodline” spanning emotions like thrilling, comedic, heartfelt, nostalgic, inspiring, and energetic. Each adjustment dynamically shifted the visual palette and surfaced content aligned to that emotional profile. Instead of scrolling tiles, the experience turned browsing into curating a feeling.
An experiment in emotional discovery
The prototype illustrated how streaming could evolve from utility into artistry—where a viewer’s desired mood sets the stage. It wasn’t built for launch, but as a provocation to explore how content discovery could feel cinematic, intuitive, and personal.
